A client of mine is really starting to gain lots of traffic on his website and he is asking me for ways to utilize this increase in traffic to make some extra money for him. He has a small real estate business with 6 agents. His traffic last months approached 100,000 hits. I am definitely not an expert when it comes to promoting and advertising on websites. My partner and I plan, design and program websites. Once the traffics comes rolling in, we are not sure of how to best utilize it to make money.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can turn this increased traffic into some cash? Keeping in mind that the main focus of the website is to sell all types of property (homes, commercial buildings, farmland, etc) and this will continue to be the main focus of the site and the main source of income for his company. He is just interested in trying to make a little extra by means of the traffic he is starting to get.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

You have a few options I can think of


1. Ad google adsense and make a little bit of money from the visitors clicking on the adsense ads (I dont like this one because it makes your website look cluttered and junkie)

2. If most of the people are home sellers that visit your site.... create an eBook (home renovations/home staging) and sell it to people that visit your site. You could create this eBook yourself or hire someone to do it. I get all my eBooks done at
Get A Freelancer (that's my affiliate link) and you can get some good work done there. If they are Buyers that visit your site.... What about an eBook on buying a property (ie. Top 5 mistakes Buyers make when purchasing a home). You can sell the eBooks for a small amount (couple dollars?). If you have enough people buying you could make a good amount of money

3. Google "real estate affiliate programs" and see what companies out there offer.

4. If your a real estate brokerage... generate buyer and seller leads and give them to your agents for a referral fee?

The best way is publish ads of localbuilder and take commision from both side.
