With cancer rates rising worldwide, and more and more children developing allergies and asthma, there has been increased interest in the use of chemical-free cleaning solutions, according to house cleaning services. While many people have been accustomed to using products like bleach and Lysol, there are excellent alternatives that are not only better for your health, but also better for the environment. These products, known as green cleaning products, are things that you most likely already have at home, and never even realized. These products can be used to clean floors, wash dishes, and clean furniture. While you may have never thought of using these items, you definitely have heard of them.

When it comes to floor cleaning, most agents use chlorine, coloring agents, and synthetic chemicals to create an appeasing smell. What's troubling about these chemicals is that they can often lead to an onset of allergies or asthma if used too often. While they are effective in cleaning floors and even removing stains, they are not very healthy for the environment or humans, and leave chemical residue that does not go away very easily. However, vinegar can be used in place of them. All you must do is add vinegar to water, and wash the floor. While white vinegar leaves behind a nasty smell at first, apple cider vinegar does not, and is thus, preferred. Vinegar will help get rid of odors and stains without the chemical compounds polluting your lungs and the air.

Many dish washing detergents also use chemicals, which may often times be left on the dishes if the dish washer is not working effectively. This can be very harmful to one's health, and thus one may want to consider using a green alternative like mustard powder. While you may think of mustard as being the yellow condiment, mustard powder actually works very well with hot water to clean dishes.

While Windex is a immensely popular window cleaner, it too, is not exactly the best for the environment or your health. While they are now coming out with green solutions, they still are full of chemicals. Popular ways of cleaning windows include the use of vinegar and lemon juice solutions. Some may recommend the use of hot water and newspaper, which is an older method, but works in similar fashion.
